Landscaping & Turfing
With about 20 years' experience in garden design, I create practical yet beautiful outdoor spaces that suit the British climate and lifestyle. I focus on proportion, plant selection for year‑round interest, sustainable planting schemes and hard landscaping details such as patios, pathways and lighting, working closely with clients to turn brief and budget into a coherent, low‑maintenance design.
Specialising in turfing and turf installation, I prepare sub‑soil, correct levels, improve drainage and choose the right turf for your site to ensure fast establishment and long‑lasting lawns. Professional installation and aftercare advice on watering, mowing and feeding are part of the service, backed by two decades of hands‑on experience delivering healthy, resilient lawns across the UK.
Groundworks and Site Prep
Groundwork’s installations begin with careful preparation: a detailed site survey and ground investigation inform the setting‑out of trenches, foundation pads and drainage runs. Temporary works and access arrangements are organised to allow safe plant movement, while permits and traffic management are put in place for deliveries and service connections; where required, archaeologists and ecologists are consulted and environmental measures such as silt fencing and pollinator protection are installed to minimise impact.
On site, earthworks, formwork, reinforcement and concrete works are carried out in sequence, with regular testing of materials and compaction to ensure long‑term performance. Close coordination with statutory undertakers, rigorous health and safety checks, and provisions for contamination management, noise and dust control are integral to the programme, culminating in final inspections, reinstatement and handover to achieve a durable, compliant groundworks installation.
